Chandigarh: The President of the Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu on Wednesday appointed four advisors, including MP Congress Fatehgarh Sahib and former Bureaucrat Amar Singh and former DGP Mohammad Mustafa.
Two other advisers are Pyare Lal Garg, former Registrants of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, and Political Analyst Malwinder Singh Mali.
Amar Singh was known as a trust person one-time Sidhu and was among the members of the Punjab parliament who had met with the minister’s chairman in June and referred to his leadership during the party’s internal chaos.
Previously, he was a Sidhu advisor during his tenure as a minister of local body but came out of that position because he did not have CM approval.
Immediately after taking over as head of PPCC, Sidhu has visited the residence of Mustafa, 1985 Batch IPS officers who hoped to become the Chief of State of Punjab and even moved the court against the appointment of Gupta Dinkar at this time, after the last appointment.
His wife Razia Sultana is a member of the Ministers.
Dr.
Garg can quote from Gurbani and the history of Sikh very easily.
He has challenged Hindutva’s politics.
A federalism and diversity voter, he has explained the position of punjab to ‘Delhi’s Hegemonic politics’.
After the promise of his latest meeting, he argued that he would continue to defend the independence of his opinion.
“I’m also a Congressman or I’ll be one and I also won’t accept the office.
Sidhu called me in the morning and said he wanted to officially appoint me as his advisor.
I said that I was always open to give my opinion.
He wants to point I am formally adviser, I say, alright.
I will maintain the independence of my opinion and if I will be asked my advice on the specific problem I will give.
“Starffing from the politics of the students left, after the Bluestar surgery, Mali turned towards Sikh activism and worked on the problem human rights.
Then he became a government teacher, but he never really moved away from activism.
He was also close to the SGPC president late, Jatharar Gurcharan Singh Tohra.
During the agricultural movement, he very often commented on various problems that arise during prolonged agitation when he supported and defended agitation.
Activists from almost all ideological nuances – from Sikh to the left – come under his criticism and he also tried against Sikhs versus from the left proposition.
A federalism voter and defines the politics of ‘Des Punjab’, he has debated that as a substitute for the individuality of the leader, the politics they do and the problems they ask must be discussed.
From lately he has commented to support the ‘pro-punjab’ agenda and pro-federalism of Navjot Singh Sidhu and has devoted activists Kirti Kisan Union for protesting Sidhu in different places.
Incidentally, the announcement came on the day when the Chairman of the Minister Amarinder Singh went to Delhi to meet the Union Minister.
Already, AICC has appointed four presidents of work together with Sidhu and now he has set a new precedent by pointing at four advisors.
“I hereby appoint four advisors to seek their wise advice as President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee with direct effects.
I personally hold each of them in terms of high, for their vision and work to imagine a better future for every punjabi , “said the announcement of Sidhu letterhead.
