GUWAHATI: Four tiger reserves of Assam have now been accorded CATS (Conservation Assured Tiger Standards) certification.
State forests ministry Parimal Suklabaidya explained the move will improve conservation efforts of large cats in the united states.
The National Committee of Conservation Assured Tiger Standards (CATS) advocated tips for Kaziranga, Manas, Nameri and Orang tiger bookings for CATS certification on Wednesday.
The CATS evaluation was conducted from the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) at 27 tiger reserves from the very first stage.
“All four tiger reserves of Assam under Stage 1 have obtained CATS certification.
Just seven proposals were advocated by the federal committee in a meeting held in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Other four tiger reserves of Assam, Kanha, Panna and Sundarbans tiger reservations were granted CAT certification,” an Asssan government announcement said.
The NTCA, that sets a standard for tackling conservation websites via a set of minimal criteria based on 17 parameters (F3 component wise) ranging in societal, cultural and biological importance to infrastructure/equipment and out of handling intending to human-wildlife battle (HCW) direction, have contributed dozens of 81.25percent to Kaziranga, 78.49percent to Manas, 71.21percent to Nameri and also 74.01percent to Orang Tiger Reserve.
Launched in 2013 with dinosaurs as early species chosen for its initiative, the most conservation program vis-a-vis CATS was designed in cooperation with area supervisors, tiger specialists and government agencies participated in tiger conservation.
