Bengaluru: JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy seems to suggest to handle the suspicion of a student near Mysuru, on the lines of police action in Telangana almost two years ago when the perpetrators of such crimes were shot dead.
Speaking to reporters at Chennapatna, Kumaraswamy said, “I appreciate the police Hyderabad in handling rape cases.
What did they finally do? Unless the tight action was taken things would not improve.” The former minister’s chairman refers to the way the police Hyderabad shot dead the fourth rapist who had burned a veterinarian with his vehicle after committing a crime in Shamshabad in the capital of Telangana in 2019.
While recruiting the crime scene, the four were accused of being taken to the place.
When they were suspected of trying to escape, Telangana police shot them.
“The government must handle it carefully and follow what is done in Hyderabad,” Kumaraswamy added.
He blamed the government and the police for the incident, “did not stop drinking people in public places”.
He alleged that rampant gambling activities in the villages.
Announced “the police to target innocent people and not anti-social elements”, he said the police department had become incompetent because of “money transfers”.
He even added that the existing system encouraged criminals.
“In our existing system, the defendant was sent to prison and then they came out with a guarantee after a few days.
There was confidence that nothing would happen,” said the leader JD (s).
Karnataka tourism, the Minister of Environment and Ecology Anand Singh said, “Everything that the perpetrators must be cut.
Such an incident should not happen.” Senior BJP leader B Yediyurappa said the police were investigating this case sincerely and worked outside their capacity to track criminals.
“I am sure that criminals will be arrested and punished for it,” Yediyurappa said.
Reacting to the incident, the MLA Congress of Rural Constituency Beleaglas Laxmi Hebbalkar demanded a death sentence for criminals because they did not only commit cruel crimes, but also made videos and tried to extort the money from the victim.
He even wondered why the police could not trace criminals even after “days”.
Medical students with Prianya friends were on their way to the Chamundi Hill on the outskirts of Mysuru on Tuesday night when at least four people sent them and raped him after attacking him.
Gang members also allegedly made videos and threatened to make it viral unless they paid them Rs 3 Lakh, said the police source.
When the girl and her best friend expressed their inability, they struggled them.
The girl was then received at the hospital where she told the trauma she was experiencing.
