AIZAWL: Ziona, also called the patriarch of this”world’s biggest household”, died at a hospital near Aizawl on Sunday.
He was 76 and is lived by 39 wives and approximately 200 kids and grandchildren who reside at’Chhuan Thar Run’ or even Abode of this New Generation in Chhuan Thar Tlangnuam village at mid Mizoram’s Serchhip district.
Resources stated Ziona, that had been the pioneer of this’Chana sect’, was attracted to the hospital about 3 pm Sunday but physicians on duty failed to renew him.
He had acute situation of hypertension and has been a diabetic.
Ziona, popularly called’hotupa’ (pioneer ) by members of their sect, was created on July 21, 1944.
He also married his first wife, Zathiangi, in 1959 when he was 15 and his second spouse in 1968 when he was 24.
His last marriage was in 2004 into some 25-year-old.
Regardless of lots of his brothers having abandoned his location after their unions, Ziona’s four-storey house with its dorm-like chambers has 162 individuals living inside.
Mizoram CM Zoramthanga condoled Ziona’s departure off.

The sect was founded by Khuangtuahthanga and was popularly called’Khuangtuaha Pawl’ until it turned into’Chana Pawl’ following the departure of the creator since his younger brother took over.
Khuangtuahthanga attracted the ire of this Hmawngkawn village headman and the British authorities for his distinctive spin on the Bible, leading to his eviction by the village.
Ziona’s son Nunparliana (60) includes two sisters and 13 children.
