Melbourne: Australia All-Rounder Glenn Maxwell will miss a tour to Pakistan and some of the initial Indian Premier League matches because of his wedding next month.
Maxwell told the ‘Fox Sports’ that the clash was unavoidable due to schedule changes.
He is one of the players maintained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore with Virat Kohli and Mohammad Siraj.
“At first when I set the date with CA there was a two-week gap where I could potentially have it,” Maxwell said after the third T20 against Sri Lanka in Canberra.
“So when I sorted it I was quite happy that I would not disappear in any series.
And then I came to the contract meeting [CA] in the middle of last year and they said well this [when] Pakistan Series [active] and I think It is clear that it has changed since the last conversation we have.
“The IPL is expected to begin last week’s March tour and Limited Pakistan is scheduled from March 29.
Richardson felt to leave the IPL early last season contributing to him and Zampa was not sold at the Australian Duo Pacer Kane Richardson auction and Spinner Adam Zampa left India because of the awesome Covid-19 wave before the IPL was finally suspended last year.
Both Bowler did not have a taker at the Mega IPL auction held last week.
Richardson was more surprised about Zampa which was not sold.
“I must be more shocked to him.
To be honest, when we left last year, in the initial state, I remember chatting with him.” I said to him, look, this might be back and bite us, and he, and at that time it was not a priority for us to be there.
We want to go back to Australia.
“So I thought there would be some kind of buyers who would be very alert to pick us up thinking that we won’t come again.
I must have thought it was a factor, “Richardson said.
The right arm Pacer has missed 2020 IPL because of the birth of his son.
He said he understood why the IPL team did not offer him but he had not talked to anyone.” I only talked about what I was.
Think will be a factor in it.
I do not know.
I have never had a dialogue with a franchise or person who said it would happen.
But I thought I didn’t go the previous year with the birth of my child.
“So my reputation might be that in the past few years I haven’t gone so it’s definitely not something I do.” I tried and played as many crickets as I could.
But I think the situation in some of the last IPLs made me not leave.
But it’s not the reputation that I want, “he added.
