GM instructed officials to speed up work at the Dharwad train station

Dharwad: South Western Railroad Manager Sanjeev Kishore has instructed officials to accelerate development work at the Dharwad train station so that new facilities made can be dedicated to the earliest people.
GM, who visited the station on Saturday, reviewed progress worked and checked the platform, bridge, circulating areas and fire safety and firefighting systems installed at the station.
Sanjeev Kishore praised the vertical park and beauty work carried out at stations that reflect local history, inheritance and culture.
He also examined the increase in illumination work at the station.
He instructed officials to try the certification of green buildings by obeying the necessary norms.
He also checked the master station room and interacted with the staff.

297 at the Dharwad Yard Station and advising Gateman about safe work.
The new building built at the cost of Rs 19.5 Crore shows the perfect combination of modern architecture along with the Dharwad culture.
This new building provides elite facilities to passengers such as air conditioning and non-AC waiting rooms separate for women and gentlemen, separate air conditioning and non-AC dormitories for women and gentlemen, pension rooms, food, shops, and monitoring information on tourists .
The provisions of the elevator will be made in time.
The outer circulation area is well developed with separate entry points and out.
Separate Bay Bay and Auto Rickshaw Stand provided for the convenience of passengers.
Gurudev’s corner on the west side of the platform 1 has been renovated and changed its name as Ravindranath Tagore Vatika.
Solid Tagore and a plaque to commemorate Tagore’s visit to the Dharwad train station will be restored.
Sanji Kishore visited the Multi-Discipline Train Training Institute in Dharwad and took the stock of training provided, and facilities were available for trainees.
He interacts with Master Trainee Station and Trainee Track Maintainers.
After inspection, he visited the University of Karnatak to see the Heritage Tower Clock restored by the SWR recently.
He also visited Karnatak College which was originally built as head office from the South Mahrorma train in the 1880s.
