Chandigarh: Deputy Minister of Haryana, Dusyant Chautala said on Friday that the Excise and Tax Department will continue to be updated with modern technology in the future, which will not only increase the income obtained from GST but also provide better services to taxpayers.
Deputy Minister of the Chief, who also holds the excise portfolio and the tax department, said this after inaugurating the new system implementation of ‘Model-2’ from GST here today.
On this occasion, he also maintained an IT team and officers who developed this model.
Secretary of the Head, Excise and the Tax Department, Anurag Rastogi, Excise and Tax Commissioner, Shekhar Vidyarthi and other officers from the Department were present during the program.
Overcoming excise officers and the tax department, Deputy Minister of Chief said that by changing the ‘GST Model-1’ country to the new ‘Model-2’ system, the current department function will be more modern, faster and more efficient than before while providing more data quality good.
He congratulated the departmental officers for the success of the model-2 implementation in a short span.
He said that in the current technology era, along with the department, every employee and officers must also remain updated with new technology.
Chautala said that Haryana has become a leading country in implementing tax reform.
Our country is also the first country to implement VAT actions.
Continuing the tradition of adopting a new and better system, the country has recently decided to launch the GST ‘Model-2’ implementation mode.
Now the new system process is complete and all officers are working on the ‘BO-Web portal’ developed by ‘GSTN’.
