Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has ordered the management of 16 mosques in Bengaluru to submit a written statement in connection with the sound pollution on Tuesday.
The division bench led by chairman of Judge A S Sanjay Sanjay Gowda gave instructions in this matter.
Litigation Public Interest (PIL) submitted by 32 residents of the Apartment icon in Thanisandra Road.
During the trial, the management of the mosque proposed that they had taken permission to use loudspeakers.
The bench stated that the management of the mosque must submit a written statement before the court about whether they followed the guidelines determined by the government to avoid pollution that was heard.
They also have to mention in the statement, they have obtained a license according to the Guidelines for the Pollution Control Agency (PCB) and if the license is not obtained, they will not use loudspeakers.
