Chandigarh: The Punjab High Court and Haryana on Monday stays the arrest of senior leader Shiromani Akali Dal (Sad) Bikramjit Singh Majithia in connection with drug cases.
Staying when the arrest will continue until the next hearing date and a sad leader have been directed to join in the investigation.
Majithia, former Minister of Punjab, has approached HC after a local court in Mohali dismissed the PLEA bail her anxatives.
He was booked on December 20 under narcotics and psychotropic substances (NDPS) acting at the Crime Branch of Mohali State.
