SHIMLA: Narinder Bragta, senior BJP chief, former minister and primary dip in state authorities, expired at PGI Chandigarh on Saturday morning.
Bragta tested positive for Covid-19 on April 13 and’d regained, but he had been shot into PGI, Chandigarh afterwards after his health deteriorated.
Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, who had enquired about the wellbeing of Bragta on Friday by seeing PGI, has expressed his condolences and with Bragta’s passing the celebration has already lost an honest and committed leader.
Bragta’s senior son Chetan Bragta educated through interpersonal networking about his death.
Bragta who had been MLA from Jubbar-Kotkhai meeting constituency of Shimla district, had been created on September 15, 1952 at Shimla.
He had been a post grad in Political Science in Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and has been wed to Pushpa Bragta and has 2 sons.
He was elected to Himachal Pradesh legislative meeting in 1998 by Shimla constituency; re-elected in December, 2007 in Jubbal-Kotkhai.
He’d stayed ministry of state for horticulture (independent control ) in 1998 to 2002; along with horticulture, specialized education and wellness ministry from December 30, 2007 on December 2012.
Bragta was re-elected into the thirteenth Vidhan Sabha (third semester ) in December, 2017 and has been nominated as chairman of both Public Beneath Undertakings; and Member, Rules and Library & Member, Amenities Committees.
He had been appointed as the chief whip of state authorities in September 2018 using the status of a cabinet ministry.
