Shimla: Two young men who were stranded when trekking at the Hilltop star star from Mount Dhauuladhar treatment.
Fourth of the Slate Godam area in Dharamshala had gone for trekking on Saturday but left stranded after the snow dropped.
Senior Congress leader Sudhir Sharma has demanded the probe why only two saved young men were brought back, leaving the other two.
The four young men have been identified as Rohit (18), Putra Rajkumar, Satyam (17), Rohit (16), son of Paramjeet, all Slate Godam, and Monty Dhiman of Nurpur, working on Ambala.
They have gone to build a star hill on Saturday and in heavy snowfall, they lost their way, but somehow managed to tell family members, after that administration was informed and rescue operations were launched to track them.
They are tracked on Sundays in heavy rain and snow.
Rohit and Satayam were taken to Dharamsala Hospital for treatment while Monty Dhiman and Rohit (Son Paramjeet) died of intense cold.
According to police officers, one of the boys died in a place while others gave up on the cold when taken to the hospital.
National Secretary of Congress and former Minister Sudhir Sharma have expressed sadness over the death of the two young men.
He said that if the administration sent a rescue team on time, then maybe, the victims could be saved.
He said that this was not the first time an incident like that happened, and that one day back, two people lost their lives.
He said that the state government should know that the nearest ASIA snow route is Dhauldhar but no management is right there.
He said that there were many trips in the area and not only locals but tourists also visited the place for trekking.
He said that to handle such disasters, it is necessary to make the right settings, whether it drones, helicopters or rescue teams and dog teams at the local level, and that all must be provided wireless connectivity at the local frequency so that people’s lives are saved.
He said that the government and local leaders had to be blamed for this incident, which brought two young men leaving the other two.
He said that and instead of making arrangements, they continued to roam the ambulance.
He said that the whole problem had to be investigated that the rescue team did not reach on time and when the four young men were not put together.
