Because BBMP has forbade hoarding, the action has shifted to stretching on the main road of Bagaluru
Because outside advertising is banned in the city, advertisers observe places that fall outside the border of Bengaluru Mahangara Palike (BBMP) to continue their work.
One of the most chasing-after stretch has become the main road of Bagaloru which leads to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).
Advertising companies have installed large ganthies every half kilometer of this stretch, throwing away all the norms out of the window.
There are more than 30 ganging on the stretch of 15 km which are considered the main alternative road to airports from areas such as Hennur, Thanisandra and Yelakeka.
Many air passengers prefer to ride the main road of Bagaluru for helping them escape from Ballari roads packed jam especially in Hebbbb Junction.
Another major advantage of traveling on the main road of Bagaluru is that drivers do not have to pay toll fees.

Considering the high use of the main road of Bagaluru among air passengers, advertisers have succeeded in getting their way by considering the leaders of the trust of Panchayats as a certain stretch not included in the boundary of BBMP.
Learn that Bagaluru’s main road fell under three Panchayats such as Kannuru, Bagaluru and Sathanur.
Also studied that permission to establish large ganthri across the street is given to advertisers without floating tenders as required in the transparency of Karnataka in the Public Procurement Act (KTPP).
Certain stretches are currently managed by the Department of Public Works (PWD).
When asked, an executive engineer assistant who was connected with the PWD Bagalur division said the department had issued a notification to the three Panchayats to immediately eliminate ganthe because they caused disruption to the general public, especially motorists.
He said the notification did not receive a reply.

AnnapoorNeshwari, Petchayat Development Officer (PDO), in Kannuru said he would not comment on the subject.
Congress Road Road (IRC) Guidelines on roadside advertisements state that advertisements should not be permitted in a 100 meter crossroads, bridges or intersections in rural areas.
Ads are also not allowed on the right of the road or across the street when they distract the driver and therefore can prove dangerous.
Guidelines state that the display of commercial advertisements must be strictly controlled where the general characteristics of the locality are dominated by the residential environment.
Meanwhile, traffic police sources said they would reach the Chief Executive Officer Zilla Panchayat (CEO) Bengaluru Urban about this problem.
