Chandigarh / Sultanpur Lodhi / Tarn Taran: Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Karuna Raju said on Tuesday that 931 nominations were submitted in the state on the fifth and last day.
With 1,348 nominations submitted in previous days, now the total number of nominations submitted in the state has reached 2,279.
The nomination will be examined on Wednesday.
Former Minister of Train Pantan Kumar Bansal submitted his letters from Barnala Seat CEO urging voters to utilize the maximum mobile application ‘Know your candidate’, use which voters can find out the details and antecedents of every candidate’s criminal candidate with their photos.
Minister of Punjab Rana Gurjit Singh, Rana Inder Parth Singh submitted his nomination letter as an independent candidate from Sultanpur Lodhi, after holding the performance of the supporting power on Tuesday.
He said he came to the election to save the Congress as it sat MLA and the official candidate of the Navtej Party Singh Cheema will lose “because of strong hatred among the people who opposed it”.
“If I don’t do a contest, the chair will go to another party.
I remain a member of the Faithful Congress and my victory is a Congress party.
I don’t know what the party has by someone who will definitely lose, so I decided to Win a chair for it (party), “he said.
“The big response I got from people made it clear who would win,” he added.
“My chair will go to Kitty Party Congress, when each seat is taken into account,” he said.
Then, the Gurjit shutter discussed a large crowd of supporters in Sultanpur Lodhi in his support, saying: “The government of oppression in the election will end.” He even specifically named a police officer who said he was posted here because “squeezing” money from people.

Sikki has submitted his nomination papers as Congress candidates on January 29 and have campaigned in constituencies since then.
The party officially stated that Sikki was the Irked DIMPA candidate, who wanted the party to give a ticket to Rajan Gill.
Sources informed that previously it was decided to dilute the Rajan as an independent candidate from Khadoor Sahib.
Sikki has submitted two respective nominated papers as Congress and Independent Candidates.
Further sources inform that anyone can submit a nominated paper and if there are shortcomings, papers can be rejected during supervision that will take place on Wednesday.
However, the same thing had given some time to the congress high command to rethink his decision.
