Bengaluru: A 26-year-old housewife was arrested on Thursday for allegedly stealing gold jewelry worth around Rs 11 Lakh from the new classmate house in Padarayanapura, West Bengaluru.
Allegations, Azra Siddiqui from Benson Town, visited the house of his classmate Roohinaaz at around 3:45 a.m.
on Tuesday and left after dinner around 8:30 a.m.
Roohinaaz noticed that Azra went to her room three times with a pretext to change clothes.
The theft was revealed around 11pm when Roohinaaz went to store a newly bought perfume bottle in his almah.
He watched it open and found his jewelry, weighed 206 grams and was worth Rs 11 Lakh, missing.
Roohinaz approached the police JJ Nagar and filed a case of theft.
A team led by the Manju DC police inspector swung actions and detained Azra to be questioned.
He initially claimed innocence but then claimed, said a source.
The police also recovered gold, which he hids under the neighboring house water tank.
Azra was produced in front of the court, which returned it in your resistance.
