Kurukshetra: Minister of Haryana (CM) Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Virtually inaugurated an ethanol factory 60 KLPD (kiloliters per day) capacity at Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mill in Kurukshetra on Monday, was established at a cost around Rs 99 Crore.
The minister’s chairman said that with the formation of this ethanol plant Shahabad Sugar Mill, there will be revolutionary changes in the economic condition of this factory.
“Youth will also get a direct and indirect opportunity for work.
With this ethanol plant, the economic position will be strengthened and the payment of sugar cane planter will also be carried out on time”, said Manohar Lal Khattar.
Haryana CM inaugurated its development virtually from a function in Karnal and his political secretary Krisar Kumar Bedi and Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mangl Kumar was present in place to inaugurate plants.
The Minister of Collaboration Haryana Banwari Lal, Shahabad-Markanda MLA Ram Karan Kala, the Department of Cooperation of the Head of Secretary (ACS) Sanjeev Kaushal is also present and thanked CM for the development of this constituency.
Praising the function of Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mill Haryana CM has been announced to establish 30 KLPD ethanol factory on June 6, 2016, under the Swanan Jayanti scheme.
The foundation stone from the ethanol plant was placed by former Cabinet Minister Haryana Manish Grover and Krishhan Kumar Bedi on September 10, 2019.
The commissioning work of this ethanol plant has begun with the inauguration itself and the trial work will begin in a few weeks.
Production will begin in the last week of December 2021, officials said.
CM Manohar said that to preserve the noble history of the sugar factory and to save foreign exchange, the 60 KLPD ethanol plant has been established at the factory while promoting a green fuel campaign run by the Indian government.
“Ethanol will be prepared from the molasses produced during factory operations.
To improve the economic conditions of the sugar factory, it is necessary to regulate the ethanol plant.
The ethanol produced from this factory will be sold to the Indian government oil marketing company.
The ethanol plant will be proven to be helpful in controlling the increase gasoline prices on the market and achieve factory economic goals.
When the factory’s financial position is strengthened, the payment of sugar cane planter will be done on time “, said CM Manohar.
Kurukshetra DC Manggul Kumar said the formation of ethanol plants was a great achievement for sugar factories and this factory did not have to suffer from the financial crisis in the future.
During the last destructive season of 2020-21, Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mill destroyed 76.81 lakh kuint polish and produced quintal sugar 8.34 lakh.
This factory recovery was 10.86 percent and generated RS 19.64 Crore income after exporting 4.85 electricity units.
For the current session in 2021-22, the factory has maintained the target of the destruction of 80 lakh cane quintals, 11 percent of the recovery of sugar and production of 8.80 lakh quintal sugar.
