Bengaluru: Nia has conducted a search here at the place of someone who was allegedly involved in making a document evidence of false identity for Smugglers Bangladesh and their victims, said an official on Sunday.
Searches are made in two locations on Saturday.
This case was originally registered in June at the Ramamurthy Nagar police station in Bengaluru against 13 accused of in connection with the attack carried out by the Karnataka police in a rented house from which seven women Bangladesh and a child were saved from the detention of the Human Traders, the Premier Investigation Agency official said.
The women traded from Bangladesh to India by the defendant with the pretext of giving them jobs but were forced to be a prostitute instead, the official said.
Nia regrifted this case under the IPC section, the actions of foreigners and immoral traffic actions (prevention).
During search, various burdensome documents, six digital devices, including hard disks and cellphones, used to make false documents confiscated, said Nia officials, added that further investigation in this case continued.
