Bengaluru: In the Pre-Fajar operation, officials of the Enforcement Directorate, Delhi, dedicated the house and the office of former Minister R Roshan Baig and Congress Mla Bz Zameer Ahmed Khan and their close colleagues here on Thursday.
Raids began at around 5 in the morning at 10 places and was concluded at around 8pm.
According to the source, the raid was allegedly related to the fraud of I-Monetary Consultation (IMA), where the founder of Mansoor Ali Khan faced the charges of 65,000 investors from at least Rs 2,600 Crores, and other financial irregularities suspected.
ED officials were assisted by more than 100 armed personnel from the central reserve police forces and local police contingents.
Raids in Zameer Khan brought to nine places, including his palator bungalows in Bamboo Bazar, close to the Railway Cantonment Station, an old house in Vasanthnagar, a guest house in Sadashivnagar, a house in Benson Town, private apartment outside the street, travel offices National in Kalasipyam here other than the office in Mumbai and Delhi.
The aide residence near Khan in Sadashivnagar was also raided.
On a Thursday night night, the car brought documents confiscated and other material leaving the house and Zameer office.
Meanwhile, BAIG’s residence in Cleveland Road, Fraser Town was raided.
In July this year, the Karnataka government has issued a notification attaching its properties in connection with the IMA scam.
The Central Investigation Bureau investigated this scam, in November 2020, capturing BAIG.
