Chandigarh: In the past few days, Punjab contributed 53.46% of deaths recorded in 5 states of polls – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur – where the selection is scheduled to be held next month in the midst of the third wave of Omicron.

Data analysis 13-18 January showed that the virus claimed the life of 202 infected people in these countries, and Punjab accounted for 108.

Punjab recorded the highest daily death toll on January 26.

Most deaths have occurred in Mohali District, Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur in Punjab Regency.
In most cases, the deceased is an elderly person with underlying health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease and lung disease and late looking for treatment.
With senior citizens who make up 12.6% of the total state population, Punjab is among the five states – Kerala (16.5%), Tamil Nadu (13.6%), Himachal Pradesh (13.1%) and Andhra Pradesh (12.4%) – which is home to proportions greater than the older population than the national average of 10.1%.
At Uttar Pradesh, the most populous country in the country, 44 Covid deaths were reported while 30 people surrendered to the virus in Goa, 17 in Uttarakhand and three in Manipur.
After Goa, where 39.5% of the samples were tested positively in the past week, Punjab had a highest level of 18.5% whereas in Uttarakhand 11.5% of the positive tested samples.
Uttar Pradesh has a 6.4% low weekly lift level among polls while in Manipur 9.9% of the sample has a virus.
The case growth rate in the last seven days compared to the past two weeks was the highest in Uttar Pradesh where the kasel grew 3.426% while cases rose to 1,991.7% in Uttarakhand, 1,712.3% in Manipur and 726.6% in cave .
Against the Active All-India case ratio of 4.8, 10.2% of each 100 confirmed cases recovered in Goa, 6.5% in Punjab, 5.5% in Uttarakhand, 5.4% in Uttar Pradesh and 1, 4% in Manipur.
Among the five countries, Goa has a lowest recovery rate of 88.1%, followed by Uttarakhand where the recovery rate reaches 90.5% and 91% in punjab.
At Uttar Pradesh, 93.3% of the 100 confirmed cases have recovered and 97% in Manipur
