Bengaluru: Even when the row above ‘headscarves’ (scarves) in educational institutions have gripped Karnataka, two videos have emerged on social media which allegedly showed several students in the District-District of Dakshina Kannada and Bagalkote appeared ‘Namaz’ (prayer) in school at school Friday.
A video clip of students suspected of offering ‘Namaz’ in the government’s elementary school class in Dakshina Kannada has become a viral on social media.
The incident that occurred on February 4 was revealed when the clip was widely distributed on social media and the local community filed objections.
Following complaints, the Ministry of Education officials visited school on Friday.
The teachers there said they had ordered students not to be involved in religious activities in the classroom.
The department has directed its customers to visit the school and submit a report on the incident immediately, said Education Officer C Lokesh.
In the second example, at least six students were seen doing Namaz at school in the Bagalkote district.
Some parents objected to the practice of accusing that school authorities allowed him to happen at school.
On January 24, Namazz by several students at a government school in Mulbagal City in Kolar caused tensions in the area.
Parents from other students, school alumni and several members of the caste organization protested at school in Someshwarapalya because it determined a new precedent to allow Friday prayers.
The trigger is a viral video, which shows students offering Friday prayers in class.
The row above the headscarves versus turmeric scarves on the campus of the secondary and college schools in certain parts of the state have resulted in tension, unwanted incidents and even taking a change of violence in several places.
The controversy began at the end of December when several female students in the hijab were refused entry into a college in Udupi.
As a counter, some students appear wearing a turmeric scarf.
On January 1, six female students of a student at Udupi attended a press conference held by the Campus Front of India (CFI) in the coastal city that protested the college authorities denying them into the classroom wearing a headscarf wearing a headscarf.
It’s four days after they ask the main permission to wear a hijab in a class that is not permitted.
Until then, students used to wear headscarves to campus and entered the classroom after removing scarves.
“The institution has no rules about the use of hijab like that and because no one usual uses it to the class in the last 35 years.
The students who came with demand had support from outside forces,” Rudre Principal College.
Gowda said.
Karnataka’s Minister Sunil Kumar has alleged that the congress is behind swept the problem of headscarves for political benefits.
This was omitted by Udupi MLA K Raghupati Bhat who said the Congress was worried about the growth of the Indian Social Democratic Party (SDPI) in the region and wanted to calm the minority.
