Amritsar: a 50-year-old Indian was reportedly kidnapped at the point of weapons from Kabul.
The President of the World India (IWF) President Singh said on Wednesday that the National India, which was identified as Bansri Lal Arendhe, was allegedly kidnapped on Tuesday near the Chemist shop.
Bansri, a resident of Khost, has lived in Gurdwara Karte Parwan.
His family lives in Delhi.
LAL has a pharmaceutical business in Kabul.
He was on his way to his shop along with his staff when his car was hit by from behind and he was kidnapped at gunpoint.
He was taken to Toyota Corolla Hijau.
Puneet, who has an active role in Hindu and Sikh evacuation from Afghanistan, said Bansri staff escaped the kidnapping offer.
Unconfirmed reports said the Bansri staff were beaten by his kidnappers.
Charan Singh, a Sikh Afghanistan migrated to Moscow, said the incident seemed to be the work of local criminals.
Puneet said the local community followed up on kidnapping cases with relevant officials and a case had been registered with a local investigation institution.
“MEA monitors the situation,” he said.
The source said that the Taliban team was looking for a lost Indian national.
