Chandigarh: Punjab Medical Education and Research The minister of Om Prakash Soni on Thursday announced establishing Central Jan Aushadhi at Government Medical College, Amritsar.
While leading a high-level meeting to review the mechanism of the work of government medical colleges in Patiala and Amritsar, Soni said Jan Aushdhi Center in Amritsar would provide concessions that are very much needed with general drugs to local residents.
During the meeting, the principal Secretary of the Alok Shekhar department told that the construction work of the State Cancer Institute, Amritsar, was in full swing and will be finished and dedicated to the Punjab people.
He added that super specialist services for cancer treatment in government medical colleges, Patiala, will also begin immediately.
