Guwahati: Active cases in the state declined but a large number of patients beaten again knocked on the door of the hospital, mostly due to other health complications.
The Chairman of Ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma said they would provide assistance to patients like that by restarting the hospital in Kalapahar here.
Under the control of the administration of Gautathati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), special facilities will be opened in the next 10 days in Kalapahar.
The Covid-Care Hospital in Kalapahar became non-operational in July-end but with the help of CM it would get a new rental of life again.
“It is the idea of the minister’s chairman to open a hospital for post-covid complications.
Not only in Assam, it will be the first of his hospital which is good in the northeast,” said GMCH supervisor Dr.
Abhijit Sarma told toi.
He said there would be all facilities to overcome even the most serious cases related to post-covid complications.
“Cm wants an independent hospital only for post-covid complications.
Thus, we are preparing infrastructure for hospitals with 58 ICU beds and 60 oxygen beds,” Sarma said.
Even when the biggest hospital in the state, GMCH, has a post-covid icus, he said this new facility will help doctors focus separately on post-covid complications that turn into complexes.
“In Guwahati, Covid Daily cases have been dipped below 100, but, many patients have been prevented have begun to return to hospitals with lung complications, coughing, joint pain, heart problems, fever and many other health problems.
Many of them.
They are tired and cannot walk with stretches.
We will be able to handle such cases better at the new hospital, “Sarma said.
Most patients live at home with complications and seek medical assistance only when the oxygen saturation level dips, the hospital supervisor said.
The source of the Ministry of Health adds that if the third wave turns brutal, they will turn this hospital into a covid treatment center.
But for now, it will treat people with post-covid complications.
