Mangaluru / Udupi / Uttara Kannada: The rain after several burst in June has begun again with 46 locations on the beach getting high rainfall in the last 24 hours until 7 in the morning.
While 30 locations in Twin District in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada received a large number of rainfall ranging from 125mm to 69mm, 16 locations in Uttara Kannada Regency received rainfall from 112mm to 69mm.
Two places in Shivamogga and Kodagu also received good rainfall making them stand in the 50 top locations in the state that received high-amounts of rainfall.
The highest rainfall was recorded in Hebri, Karkala, District Udupi 125.5mm; Adyar, Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada 113mm and Mugwa in Honnavar, Uttara Kannada recorded 112.8 mm.
Although there is continuous rain from Saturday, with several breaks including, there has been no report on major damage or losing life in DK and Udupi districts.
However, there was an incidence of damage to homes because of Hillock Caving or collapse of compound walls in several districts.
In rural areas in the district, there is a major power outage because strong winds have revoked or damaged the electric pole after the tree falls.
Visitors to the beach have been warned not to explore waters due to strong waves and currents.
IMD in the weather update for the next 48 hours states that there will be common ceilings and rain very likely along the coast.
The surface wind tends to be strong and tight at that time added.
