Bengaluru: For the second day in a row, Karnataka on Monday recorded less than 100 Covid deaths: 89 on Sundays and 93 on Monday.
The previous record was on April 18 when the country reported 81 deaths.
The case of Covid-19 Fresh Daily fell below 3,000 for the first time since March 30 when the number was 2,975.
Daily infection ink Monday is 2,576.
The state has reported lower cases, 2.566, on March 26.
Bengaluru contributed 18 deaths, followed by Dakshina Kannada 14, Ballari 9 and MySuru 8.
No Covid death was reported from seven districts, including Chamarajanagar, Chitradurga and Kalaburagi.
“This is the day of the first many in the Covid front,” Minister of Health Tweet K Sudhakar, highlighted that the active case fell below the 1-lakh sign of up to 97,592 people on Monday.
Bengaluru reported 563 new cases on Monday, at least since March 15, when the country’s capital had witnessed 550 cases, before the covid peak.
