BENGALURU: A parents’ association of pupils in private colleges has required that the cost reduction which has been arranged last year ought to be extended for the academic year also.
Submitting a memorandum to chief ministry BS Yediyurappa about Monday, the Karnataka State Private School Parents’ Association Coordination Committee has, but regretted that many schools didn’t comply with the administration’s diktat this past calendar year.
This past year, the authorities had arranged private colleges to accumulate only 70 percent of their tuition cost and barred them in collecting penalties under another group.
However, private colleges approached the high court, which stated that the authorities cannot insist colleges adhere to this diktat.

“The pandemic has spurred many households this season also.
Individuals have lost their jobs and wages are cut.
The fee cut has to be extended this season also.
Children who paid up this past year ought to be allowed to not cover this year and receive the commission paid,” explained BN Yoganand, member of this institution.
The association pointed out that most private colleges failed to adhere to government recommendations about the matter or the courtroom.
Kids who didn’t cover full fees were refused entrance to internet courses, chance to compose examinations, also marks cards.
There were cases of pupils and parents being belittled.
Some colleges also made a decision to offer loans interest for the parents.
“Several countries like Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan have formed committees to correct fees in private colleges.
Karnataka should also.
Parents and educators must develop together to resolve fees of this faculty,” the association stated.
However, private colleges’ institutions have made it very clear that the diktat in the authorities to accumulate just 70 percent of their tuition cost will be relevant only for the academic year 2021-22.
At a media conference, D Shashi Kumar of Karnataka Association of Main and Secondary Colleges said:”It is quite clear in the round it had been just for the past academic year.
Most colleges haven’t raised charges this season.
If parents need assistance, they could approach schools separately.
Faculties are prepared to assist if the situation is real.
If the government wishes to assist, they could pay parents rather than burden schools” The department of public schooling said there has not been any decision on charges for this year.
“We are awaiting the top court to produce a decision to a season’s imbroglio.
