Haveri: Fans and villagers bid on a fat separation to a 19-year-old Banteng who died of a disease related to age here on Tuesday.
Known as Haveri Don 111 in this district, Bull Breed Halikar was bought together by a group of friends 15 years ago.
Haveri Don 111 has won more than 60 benign bull matches in Haveri and Tamil Nadu.
Fans from TN also attended the funeral when the bull was a star player at the Jallikattu event.
The last rite was carried out at Guddadamuttalli in Hangal Taluk, the owner said Nataraj Kulenur, Girish Hombaraadi, Raju Manegar and Santosh Swadi.
Welcomed for heroic victory and respected as gods, Haveri Don 111 has won the owner of 25 bicycles, 300gm gold, 1 kg of silver, TV and bantal trains.
In the last contest he participated in Hangal, Don won 20GM gold.
