Bengaluru: A 22-year-old nurse collapsed at his workplace and was declared dead brain and then had given a new lease of life to several people after the organs were donated.
Ganvi TK, from Hosakoppa Village, Nr Pura, Chikkamagaluru Regency, worked at Nirmala Nursing Home in Shivamogga.
Around 3:30 a.m.
on February 8, he fell unconscious when on the night shift.
Ganvi immediately rushed to Nanjappa Hospital, where he used to work before, but was taken to Pmssy, Bengaluru, around 7:30 p.m.
He was declared brain died on February 12.
Mother, sister and uncle Ganvi advanced to donate their organs.
He shifted to the Gastroenterology Institute and transplant organs and liver, his kidney, heart valve, and cornea donated, said source.
Health Minister K Sudhakar wrote on the social media that Ganvi recovered and treated the patient when he was alive and he discussed his organs after his death.
