Bengaluru: Continuing a downward trend, Karnataka on Monday reported 2,576 new cases and 93 deaths, each took cooperatives and tolls to 28.37,206 and 34,836.
The active case reached 97,592, dipping under one lakh after four months.
The level of front of the day was 1.92% and the case mortality rate was 3.61%, the Bulletin Health Department said.
The decrease in daily infection is 1,000 compared to Sundays.
During the covid-19 second wave peak, active cases have risen to the top six lakh and Bengaluru have reported the highest active case in the country among the metropolitan cities.
A total of 5,933 patients recovered in the state took the total recovery to 27.04.755, said Bulletin.
Bengaluru Urban District recorded 563 new cases and 18 deaths, the highest among state districts.
This city has so far reported 12,11,993 cases and 15,599 deaths.
There are 62,430 active cases.
According to the bulletin, 282 new cases were reported in MySuru, 263 in Dakshina Kannada, 194 in Shivamogga, 150 in Kodagu and 138 in Hassan.
New cases reported in other districts also include Tumakuru, Mandya, Chikkamagaluru, Davangere, Kolar, Udupi and Bengalore.
The department said there were 14 deaths in Dakshina Kannada, nine in Ballari, eight in Mysuru, five each in Hassan and Dharwad and four each in Bellagavi and Davangere.
Death was reported in 15 other districts as well.
There is no fatality in Bagalkote, Chamarajanagar, Chitradurga, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Vijayapura and Yadgir.
The country did 1.33,917 Covid tests including 1.07,050 RT-PCR tests and other methods.
So far, 3.40 crore tests are carried out cumulatively, the department is added.
As many as 2.21 crore inoculation have been carried out in the state, consisting of the first and second vaccine doses including 3,33,325 on Monday.
