Bengaluru: Karnataka is seventh among the 18 major countries in governance performance, according to a report issued by a Bengaluru-based General Center (PAC) on Thursday.
The country was ranked fourth last year.
State rating descended from 12th place to 16th place with an equity pillar score.
Countries such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana have three top slots.
Public Affairs Index (PAI 2021) compiled a list based on scores guaranteed by countries in the performance of governance in all the pillars of equity, growth and sustainability.
This report is an annual assessment of the quality of governance in the countries and is assessed on the implementation of sponsorship programs centered from rural labor insurance schemes, the National Health Mission, Integrated Child Development Services, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and midday eating schemes.
This year’s study also analyzed the response of countries against the pandemic and the success rate achieved in mitigating its impact.
