Bengaluru: Karnataka on Sunday reported 236 fresh Covid-19 cases and two deaths took the fatalities and cumulative fatality to 29.91,850 and 38,145, the health department said.
He also said 264 people were dismissed, taking the total recovery amount to 29,45,679.
Active cases reach 7,997.
Bengaluru Urban remains the main contributor to the Covid case with 152 fresh infections and the two deaths reported from the city.
Other districts also reported new cases including 11 each in Dakshina Kannada and Hassan and 10 in Mysuru.
There is no fatality in 30 districts.
While 13 districts report nil infections and deaths, 14 login districts in one digit.
The level of participation for that day was 0.24 percent and the case mortality rate was 0.84 percent.
A total of 96,838 samples were tested in the country including 80,573 RT-PCR tests on Sunday, taking the cumulative number of specimens checked as far as 5.21 crores.
The number of vaccinations carried out so far in the state rose to 6.81 crores, with 26,805 people inoculated on Sunday, he said.
