Tumakuru: A 52-year-old man was killed during the day wild daylight by his wife and lover at Baddihalli in Tumaku on Sunday.
Narayanappa worked as an electrician in a private company in Nelamangala from Bengaluru and was a resident of Baddihalli.
On Sunday, he took a fight with his wife Annapoorna for the alleged affair with Ramakrishna, police said.
Heated arguments occur between husband and wife.
In anger, Annapoorna threw gasoline to her husband and burned it.
To save his life, Narayanappa ran out of the house and fell to the drainage to extinguish the fire.
Ramakrishna, who was also present at home, took a rock and dropped it in Narayanappa’s head when she tried to escape from a drainage.
He suffered a severe head injury and died instantly.
Jayanagara police arrested the duo.
“Used gasoline stored for light fire light and Annapoorna, which has three children, often fighting because of his affair, the source said.
Annapoorna has kept gasoline in a bottle into lightweight firewood at home and emptied it to her husband before burning it.
Annapoorna, 36, worked as Workers in the onion while Ramakrishna, 35, are painters and lenders In the room.
Narayanappa suffered severe burns, police said.
