Mohali: The protesters of the state-owned Punjab Road, Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) and UNI members of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHMEU) are jammed by The Kharlover Flyover for almost 10 hours on Wednesday.
All Mohali police were deployed on the flyover to manage traffic congestion.
Senior Supervisor of Mohali (SSP) Navjot Singh Mahal said the two SP level officers, along with representatives of Kharar Superintendent (DSP) and other DSP level officers with home and police officers were deployed to Kharar’s protest.
Apart from all the preparations, commuters are uncomfortable, because around 5,000 PRTC contractual employees demand regularization their work block the highway near the bus stand at 8 am and protest until 6pm.
Nrhmeu members, Punjab also protested firover from day to 6pm.
NRHM employees claim that experienced employees have not been regulated despite working with dedication for a long time.
Contractual employees have performed protests for more than three weeks throughout their demands.
Previously, protesters had planned to go to Gherao Minister Chararjit Singh Channi in Kharar in protest against the authorities, but when they were stopped, they blocked the highway.
