Shimla: The death toll in the Nigulsari landslide incident from Kinnaur District, Himachal Pradesh has increased to 28 with the recovery of the 3-body remaining on Tuesday.
Large landslides in Nigulsari on August 11 have buried the HRTC bus (Enroute of Reckong-Peo to Haridwar), two cars, one passenger vehicle (Sumo) and one truck under the rubble.
Kinnaur District Administration has released details of 14 people missing in landslides and all 14 bodies of missing people have been taken by the search and rescue team (SAR).
The search and rescue operation began at 6 am on Tuesday and the team restored three bodies whose identity had not been carried out.
According to officials, the rescue team had told about tracing the body of 3 missing people.
The rescue team said that it would take 3 to 4 hours to lower it.
On Monday, two bodies recovered on Saturday during the search and rescue team recovering 6 bodies including women.
Search operations exist in areas where 52 ITBP personnel, 56 NDRF personnel and 30 police personnel were involved.
In addition to recovering 28 bodies, the search and rescue team has saved 13 people.
Those who were saved were treated at the Bhawanagar Community Health Center (CHC) from where two were further sent for medical care at Shimla and Sujanpur.
Since the landslide on August 11, the search and rescue team has recovered two cars (alto / accents – damaged) and no one found in the car.
Bolero and passengers still can’t be traced.
Officials said that maybe the vehicle was rolled up with debris.
One passenger vehicle (Sumo) has recovered where 8 people were found dead and their bodies were sent for postmortem at CHC Bhawanagar.
From trucks that have rolled towards the river because the shooting stone and large stones the driver’s body who died was restored.
According to officials, the NH-5 is for vehicle activities and the police team has been deployed on both sides of the sliding point for the management of traffic.
