Bengaluru: If everything goes according to plan, the Bengaluru KSR city train station will soon get the train arcade.
Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation (IRSDC), which manages the station, recently floated tenders to prepare and maintain the railroad arcade for nine years.
According to officials, 17 stores are expected to appear in an area of ​​15,550 sqft.
This area will be divided into two zones: zone a (towards the exit) and zone B (towards the concourse exit).
Zone A will have 10 outlets with an area of ​​8,614 sqft, Zone B will have seven outlets with an open area of ​​6,936 sqft, including provisions for relaxed support.
“The aim is to develop space as an experience zone with a variety of facilities and the overall atmosphere to be developed on the same space line in Bengaluru, New Delhi and Mumbai Airport,” said an IRSDC official.
Arcade rail will be developed as a multi-facility, multi-brand and multi-product center.
According to the tender document, no more than 80% of the total number of outlets must be arranged for F & B services.
“Arcade the train will be the center of a small city that invites people to spend quality time.
There are also plans to develop food outlets, refreshment, and Retail to create customer experience.
The company will take over space and renovate the area for the development of commercial space, recreation and entertainment for passengers and other customers, “said the document.
Other conditions in the tender are: to bring famous brands in their respective segments, providing the right retaining area for passengers / consumers in the zone, increasing areas side by side by track, the way to enter and exit the station in the area circulating by providing aesthetics.
Designed curb and maintain an arcade rail on the basis of 24×7 or transferring it back to authority after completing the contract.
