Bengaluru: Close on the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) heel, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) also prohibits passengers to play music or watch movies in speaker mode on the bus-cellphone.
The state-run corporation also says that violators will go down.
On Friday, the KSRTC issued a circular that filed a complaint against passengers who played songs and watched news and films and caused discomfort for fellow passengers to increase.
It urged drivers and conductors to create awareness among passengers.
However, KSRTC does not have data about the number of complaints.
Orders will also be implemented in two other companies, including Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) and North Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC).
The move occurred after a tumakuru-based advocate filed a pill in the Karnataka High Court who was looking for a hard music or video limit on electronic gadgets on the bus and train.
The L Ramesh applicant rose, 37, indicating that playing loud music in the bus was very uncomfortable.
The court ordered notification to the commissioner of road safety and the train earlier this year.
However, the pill was dismissed on November 9 for the desire of prosecution because the applicant was not present in court.
“The question raised in the petition was left open to be considered in some other cases appropriate,” the division bench led by the chairman of the Rujian Judge Raj Awasthi was held in 2019, BMTC had taken action against passengers they played on their cellphone or iPod.
However, many regular passengers complain there is no enforcement and many continue to play music without earphones / headsets.
According to section 94 (v) carnataka motor vehicle regulation, 1989, if a passenger uses the stage train bus, sing or play any musical instruments or operate radio transistors, then “the driver or conductor may need the person to get off the vehicle and can stop the vehicle or remain silent until the person has come down or a police officer requested by the driver or any conductor or passenger.
