Haveri: Authorities in the Haveri District recently decided to elderly parents so he could return to share their property after his two sons failed to take care of him.
Savanur AC Annapurna Mudakammanavar on January 6 ordered the cancellation of previous property mutations – allegedly by his children made illegally – and defeated their mother shares on property under the maintenance and welfare of parents and ACT-2007.
Premavva Havalannavar, 76-year-old woman from Veerapur Village in Hangal Taluk District Haveri, was abandoned by her sons.
After three years of legal battle in the AC and Tahsildar court, he managed to get a part at the property – 3.32acre Land and a house in the village.
According to sources, Premavva has appealed to AC Savanur to cancel the mutation because property documents have no name because of the bad behavior of his sons, Dhanik Kumar and Santosh.
He claimed to have been under care of the idari institution here after the death of her husband Srikant as his daughter, son and daughter-in-law sent him out of the house.
AC Annapurna heard his case and canceled the mutation carried out before.
Hangal Tahsildar Yarriswamy ordered the addition of Premavva’s name in land and home documents.
“I was harassed by my sons, daughter-in-law and daughter after my husband died.
They even sent me out of the house.
Then, I received treatment at the idari institution.
Now, I get justice from officials in the income department,” said Premavva.
Tahsildar Yarriswamy said the woman had the right to her husband’s property.
“But in this case, his son illegally passed the premavva name in property documents after their father died.
We have ordered supporting the woman,” he explained.
Savanur AC Annapurna Mudakammanavar said, “The Kerala High Court has given a verdict in a similar case.
It is said that the action contemplates the rights of senior citizens beyond maintenance rights.
In the case of Premavva, the maintenance and welfare of the Senior Act-2007 senior residents are violated.
Now, We have overcome their worries.
