BENGALURU: Three daily-wage employees who entered a manhole at Ramanagara, roughly 50km in Bengaluru, suffocated to death Friday.
The tragedy happened when the employees entered the 20-foot-deep manhole at New Malleshwara block, Ijur, to finish works on sewerage line.
The city municipality had shot up the job of placing the lineup under a particular scheme of this authorities.
Manjunath, 29, Rajesh, 40 and Manjunath, 32, most inhabitants of Kamalanagar at Basaveshwaranagar, Bengaluru, have been attracted to the site of work with builder Harish Kumar approximately 8am.

Harish was so blessed that he delegated the duties to his helper Manoj and abandoned the area.
Typically, a lamp is going to be put in the base of the manhole to determine the oxygen level indoors.
That process wasn’t followed ,” police said.
“First, Rajesh and Manjunath entered the manhole.
Rajesh dropped unconscious and Manjunath cried for support.
The other Manjunath, who had been standing close to the shirt, stepped and he also dropped unconscious.
Ahead of the emergency and fire sleuths could arrive in the place, they expired in the manhole,” police said.
Two detained depending on the complaint filed by relatives of the deceased, Ramanagara police detained contractor Harish Kumar along with his partner Manoj.
