Bengaluru: About 60 college engineering can introduce Honors BSC courses in science from this academic year.
On Tuesday, Visvesvaraya Technology University was looking for a government nod to start a synchronous course with a new national education policy (NEP).
The 4-year BSc (Hons) program will have science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (steam) subjects.
The Department of Science and Techniques will conduct classes on campus and each college can have 60 students per course.
“This course will be different from those who at the degree of college considering the emphasis on the subject of the stem.
Open choices, project work and internship will be the central stem and from the background of the engineering,” said Charisiddappa Chancellor Deputy.
