Bengaluru: The third covid vaccine dose will be given on Monday to the health and frontline workers and senior citizens with comorbidity.
People in these groups can be affixed only if they finish nine months since they took a second shot.
No separate registration is needed for the prudential dosage on the co-win portal.
The third dose must be from the same vaccine given twice the first time.
According to data with the Ministry of Health and family welfare, a total of 7.2 lakh health services have taken two doses and more than 8.9 lakh frontline workers are fully vaccinated in Karnataka.
The state has 62 senior Lakh citizens who are fully vaccinated, where an estimated 20% have comorbidity, said Dr.
Arundhathi Chandrasekhar, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Karnataka, who is responsible for covid vaccination in the state.
Everyone who has taken two doses on May 10, 2021 is now scheduled for prevention.
“Overall, 20 people lakh (health workers / frontline and senior citizens) are scheduled,” said Dr.
Chandrasekhar.
However, data continues to vary, he added.
Even though the government has mentioned that senior citizens with comorbidity will be given a dose of prudence, no need to submit documents that prove comorbidity.
