K’taka cm direct districts to improve detention efforts

Bengaluru: Chairman of the Minister of Bukavaraj Bommai on Saturday directed by eight regencies where the Covid-19 case was increasing to take direct steps to load the spread.
He suggested that if needed, they could impose some restrictions on economic activities.
These instructions were issued for the first virtual interaction of Bommai with Deputy Commissioner (DCS) Bengaluru Urban, Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, MySuru, Shivamogga, Udupi, and Chamarajanagar Regency.
He warned them that weakness at this stage could contribute to other waves and emphasize the need to monitor cases effectively.
DCS is advised to pursue intensive detention and supervision in the field that report higher cases.
The detention zone must be defined based on case mapping and contacts tracked.
Bommai also said that there must be a greater focus on increasing coverage of vaccination and filtering people who entered the carnataka from neighboring countries.
Deputy Commissioners have been asked to detail the steps they have taken in their district and apply the latest central government guidelines.
The Positivity Rathethe Center has directed the country to ensure that districts with the level of participants above 10 percent prevent or reduce the large movement of people and meetings.
Health officials must monitor people in house isolation and are ready to move them to hospitals for timely clinical care.
