Bengaluru: With a demand far beyond the supply, the Chairman of the BS Yediyurappa Minister on Friday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allocate at least 1.5 doses of Covid-19 vaccine per month to the country, to overcome severe shortages.
Yediyurappa asked for a request during a virtual meeting between Modi and the Head of the Minister of several countries.
The meeting was held to review the situation of the pandemic in these countries.
“Until now, 2.6 doses of crore have been given.
We need at least five doses of lakh a day,” said Yediyurappa.
Yediyurappa also asked for help under PM caring for funds to get 800 neonatal and pediatric ventilators.
He urged mod to allocating 40 PSA oxygen production units at the Taluk Hospital and Decentralization of Medical Oxygen Distribution.
He appealed the increase in the supply of amphotericin-b drugs, which were used to treat mukormycosis, and increased intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) intended for children.
CM tells Modi that district authorities have been authorized to impose sanctions depending on the level of publication.
They can also start appropriate actions against those who do not follow the Covid protocol.
With PM asking the state to prepare for the third possible third wave, Yediyurappa said Karnataka had increased the number of oxygenated beds and a pediatric ventilator and an icus.
The number of doctors, paramedics and lab technicians in hospitals has increased and equipment is being purchased.
The RT-PCR sequencing laboratory and the new genome are also being established in the state, he said.
