Bengaluru: Even when the caste census exercise trapped in a fierce debate, Karnataka State Commission for the Backward class has requested the Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) to complete the caste, sub-caste, category, and gender details of the last year students in the state of completing Courses between 2011-12 and 2020-21.

The source said that DCE has requested a lecture principle to renew student details on the Education Management Information System (EMIS) on October 12.
The Commission has searched for data through two separate forms: caste and other details from Proforma III; And details of the category of caste employees and officials through Proforma A work.
The authorities say that the details of only students who have cleaned the last year have been searched.
“The wise details of the year have been sought,” said a principal, confirmation that controversial exercise had moved.
