Bengaluru: Controversy over the election of Post-KPCC Youth Wing President refused to die as a battle for supremacy between the KPCC President and Shivakumar and Opposition leaders went berserk Siddaramaiiah.
On Tuesday, Shivakumar held a meeting with Raksha Busah and Mohammed Nalpad before the young wing of AICC BV Srinivas and was responsible for the teenager’s wing Krishna Allavaru, and reportedly convinced both of them to share their respective positions for 18 months.
But Siddaramaiiah objected to a proposal claiming the party has announced Raksha as president and that he must be allowed to complete his full range.
The source said he also spoke with the Secretary General of AICC Incharge from Karnataka Randeep Surjewala which expressed his displeasure.
Surjewala is now expected to arrive at Karnataka to solve this problem.
Raksha was elected President Wing Youth in February this year in controversial elections after the rival of Nalpad, who won the most votes, disqualified.
Nalpad was declared not qualifying because of a criminal case that was delayed against it.
Raksha and Nalpad have been in Loggerhead after elections supported by Siddaramaiiah and Shivakumar.
Raksha was the son of former Minister of Mr Seetharam from Congress and Nalpad was the son of Congress Mla Mohammed Haris.
The Shivakumar camp supports Nalpad, argues that high commands should not allow it to oppose elections if the party’s rules forbid people with criminal antecedents holding any position.
In the election held online in the middle of a pandemic, Nalpad and Raksha surveyed by 64,203 and 57,271 respectively.
