Haveri: Puddle of villages and roads after heavy rains in North Carnataka not only forcing people to leave their homes but also put members of the animal kingdom in a disturbing place.
In Haveri, for example, the swelling of the Varada River left a group of monkeys based on a tree that sank for two days.
A monkey video trapped on a tree which later became a viral on social media, pushed the Ministry of Forestry to launch rescue efforts – personnel had not managed to save the primary from the submerged tree.
Following the swelling of the Varada River in Haveri Regency, the waters that overflowed left the mango tree sank, left the monkey group stranded on a tree stranded since Saturday Saturday.
“With the help of the fire department, we tie the rope to the tree.
However, the monkey continues to jump between branches, inhibiting our efforts,” Akbar said.
Akbar said that, stuck in the tree for the past two days had left many angry monkeys.
“They don’t have food, and we provide fruits using boats.
We hope to miss the surface of the water on Tuesday, and we can save the monkeys trapped,” he added.
Range Forest Officer Ramappa Pujar said that a guard had been deployed in the tree.
“If the monkey manages to get out of the tree itself, it will be great, if not, we will save them and continue to supply food until we can get them from there so low water level,” said Jarar.
