Bengaluru: As part of his strategy to deal with possible third waves, the Karnataka government has filtered children in the age group 0-19 since mid-August and found that only 0.3% of the 35 lakh tested has so far been covid.
With the overall case of fresh Covid-19 in Karnataka declined, the focus of the government has shifted to a 1.5 crore pediatric population.

KV Trilok Chandra’s health commissioner said the child’s population screening would be completed in the next two months.
Playback is being carried out under the Arogya Nandana scheme which was launched in mid-August.
This scheme will also look for markers that show the nutritional level in children and aim to increase their immunity.
