Bengaluru: Witnessed a surge in the Coronavirus case, Karnataka on Sunday reported 12,000 fresh cases and 4 deaths related to viruses, took the calculation to 30,51,958 and toll victims to 38,370, said health bulletins.
The state has witnessed a stable wave in case since December last week and has reported 8,906 cases everyday on Saturday.
From new cases on Sunday, 9,020 came from Bengaluru Urban who saw 605 people being repatriated and two deaths.
The total number of active cases throughout the country is now 49,602.
There were 901 release, taking the total recovery to 29,63,957, the Bulletin Health Department said.
While the level of participants for that day reached 6.33 percent, the case mortality rate (CFR) was 0.03 percent.
Of the four deaths, two came from Bengaluru Urban and each from Ballari and Dakshina Kannada.
Apart from Bengaluru Urban, Mysore recorded the second high of 398 new cases, Udupi 340, Dakshina Kannada 298, Manda 261 and Shivamogga 198, followed by others.
The Urban District Bengaluru now has a total of 12,99,319 a positive case, followed by Mysuru 1.81,330 and Tumaku 1.21,780.
According to the bulletin, Bengaluru Urban overcame the list among the release with 12,42,326, followed by Mysuru 1.77,850 and tumakuru 1,20,197.
Cumulatively, a total of 5,76,83,675 samples were tested in the state, where 1,89,499 was tested on Sundays.
