Bengaluru: Order for other backup (OBC) and a more economically weaker part (EWS) in all Indian quota will mean that Karnataka students from this category will get the opportunity to try chairs in their choice of medical colleges in other countries.
In the state medical colleges in the state, 85% of seats are for state quota and 15% for all Indian quota.
The introduction of the OBC quota and EWS in all Indian quota does not affect the country’s quota in any way.
“This does not affect state quota of 85% in government medical colleges in Karnataka.
15% quota with the center and change only in that matter.
Students from these categories will get a better opportunity to study in good medical colleges in the country – Another area, “said the Dean of a government medical college.
At present, there are 432 seats in quota all Indians in 18 government medical colleges in Karnataka.
With quota, there will be more opportunities for students in the OBC category and EWS from other states to join Karnataka Colleges.
The EWS quota in the country quota has not been implemented in Karnataka even though many others have implemented it.
The new government must now make a decision about it.
According to sources, there may be some clarity before NEET is held in September.
