Shimla: Longslide once again blocked the National Highway-5 (Jalan Raya Shimla-Kinnaur) in Badhal in the Shimla District.
In a week, this is a second big landslide along the national highway which is very important strategically connecting the Kinnaur and Valley of Spitan which is located close to the Chinese border.
Previously, large landslides along the highway were reported in Jeori in the Shimla district on September 6 while before that landslides in Nigulsari in Kinnaur District on August 11 have killed 28 people.
According to officials, landslides in Badhal near Jeori were reported on Sundays and no loss of human life.
Officials said that the administration of the Shimla District had deployed the earth’s removal machine for road connectivity recovery.
The source said that the fraction of the National Highway Shimla-Kinnaur led to a large discomfort not only for daily commuters but also Apple farmers from the Shimla and Kinnaur districts that found it difficult to transport their apple plants to the market in time to take good prices.
Most of the Himachal Pradesh did not stop accepting monsoon rain because the country faced an increase in landslide threats.
Insulated places from the lower and central hills of the country will have more rainfall until September 18.
According to Shimla’s meteorological center official, rainfall occurs in most places above the country for the last 24 hours during the active rainy season so far the point.
In the state, the maximum temperature has decreased by 3-4 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours while there is no significant change at the minimum temperature.
The minimum normal temperature while the maximum temperature is 5-6 degrees Celsius below normal.
On Sunday, the lowest temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Keylong in the Lahaul-Spiti District while the highest maximum temperature of 30.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at UNA on Saturday.
