BENGALURU: Police shot and Wounded Shobuj Sheik, 30, an accused in the Event of gang-rape of a Bangladeshi Girl, in Rampura Close Ramamurthynagar, on Wednesday morning.
Sheik out of Bangladesh is that the 10th accused.
City authorities had detained six suspects, including two girls, on May 27.
Three accused–Rafsan, his wife Tanya and their buddy Dalim–were detained at Chennai on Tuesday and according to his input, town authorities shot Sheik into custody by a royal tent of ragpickers near Rampura lake.
On the road into this station, he allegedly attacked head constable Devendra Nayak using a knife and attempted to escape.
Sensing risk, subinspector Shivaraj opened fire in Sheik’s leg.
Nayak and Sheik have been hurried into Bowring hospital.
SD Sharanappa, deputy commissioner of police (east), stated Sheik had a monetary dispute with the archery.
He moved to Kerala and attracted the girl with convincing her that he wished to talk about a monetary settlement.
Afterwards, he and other suspects, raped her recorded it.
