Bengaluru: Since the pandemic hit, the social sidewalk and quarantine norms have triggered fear of being lost among many.
But some experienced Fomo for different reasons in the third wave – with their colleagues infected with Covid-19, they felt ‘abandoned’.
The social media platform is berangzi with memes and jokes about ‘rare species’ that is still not sick, while others suffer from coughing, fever and body pain.
One viral meme reads: “If you don’t hurt now, you have to be an alien.” Others have healthy people who hate themselves when other people contract Covid.
Young children share their ‘disappointment’ online.
Shivangi, Twitter users, said: “People who don’t get Covid at Wave Two get it on Wave Three and those who don’t get wave three, UNKO Major Fomo Ho Raha Hai (they suffer from a big FOMO).” Siriveena tweeted: “The struggle has a bad Fomo while Covid is also feared.” Karthik Srinivasan, a communication consultant, shared anecdotes from his family: “Speaking with relatives.
He said his son (in STD 11) wanted to be tested for Covid because it seemed to be FOMO among his friends in class / school – almost everyone was tested and not Tested, he tested positive, BTW! “Anushree l, a technician, who has never contracted an infection, told Stoi he shared a story about Instagram joking about how he tested Fomo’s positive.
“Last week, everyone except two of us in my team was tested positively.
My story is to respond to their stories about how they were infected.
I heard the symptoms they were not severe.
Everyone gets the goods well and I feel excluded,” He said, adding it was only in a lighter vein and he was aware of the seriousness of the virus.
“I remain cautious since the first two waves because I live with elderly parents.
I think all of my sanitation, cover and eat healthy has paid off the way,” he added.
Zoha Sanofer, an influencer on Instagram, shares a roll that shows changes in the community’s attitude towards Covid from 2021 to 2022.
With the description of “different waves, different vibrations?,” Sanofer said people were scared with Covid-19 in 2021.
Relax about that this year.
“It’s just Corona.
Don’t worry, just for seven days, you will be fine after that,” he said on the scroll like a skit that has collected more than 11,000 likes.
Netizens also come up with the term for those who are still not contracted Covid – Covirgins.
“I officially lost my covid virginity, now I don’t need to worry about having FOMO,” Twitter user wrote.
